4 - bad book habit

checking out books from the library 5 at a time when I know I can usually only manage 2 or 3 in a two-week span. also adding books I want to read to my “to-read” shelf on goodreads and then forgetting about said shelf!!

10 - Favorite book I’ve read this year?

I’m going to have to go with The Silver Blade by Sally Gardner. Perfect sequel to The Red Necklace. YA historical fiction with pretty figurative language, romance, magic… basically every thing I like!

16 - do you ever dog-ear books?

I do, but not often and only under dire bookmark-less circumstances. (usually if I can’t find a bookmark I’ll use a receipt or some other scrap of paper. But honestly, if you’re taking a bubble bath, what’s a girl to do???) Also, dog-earing is MUCH better for the book than laying it open to your page with the spine up.

48 - What would cause you to stop reading a book half-way through?

A few things. If I’m that far and I don’t care about any of the characters or the plot. If my disgust with an event or character’s actions or a comment outweighs my need to know what happens. But mostly I only stop reading a book halfway through if I can’t recheck it at the library because someone else is requesting it. (ENDER’S GAME COME BACK 2 ME)
